Clarisse Demory

Clarisse Demory's flat located in Bulgaria is a minimalistic dream.
The cement walls have accents of pastel pinks, and the dried flowers, antique
wood and natural light.. they are inexplicable.
I am in awe, view more images here.

these days

Reading by the pool. About what to do if an alligator attacks
and how to jump from a motorcycle to a car.
Relevant to my life.
Bonny and I went for lunch. Ginger yam soup,
olive and thyme grilled cheesed with roasted tomatoes, and a salad.
We wanted a treat after, so we resorted to fresh local strawberries.
They were good but didn't suffice.
We had cookies and pumpkin pie after. At least we tried.
This is what we've been up to. My mini-vacation which consisted of lounging by the pool and eating copious amounts of good food is coming to a close, but I'm feeling too gluttonous to be upset.  I've got lots of art and work planned, but tomorrow we get to play again because it's Canada Day!

Saturday

love

This is a photograph I took of the place I stayed in Montreal, where I also will be living this coming August. Amongst the beautiful wood installation and chandeliers it is also filled with superb art made by close friends and others. The last few weeks have been insane, last night I stayed up until 4 am just spending time with beautiful interesting people, and as much as I will miss it, I am realizing the opportunities ahead are going to be more than I can imagine. I think I am going to sleep for the rest of the week, yes, that would be nice.

Tuesday

Rust

I obsessed with the post Todd Selby recently did on stylist Charlotte Rust and her home in Aukland. I'm mostly intrigued by how everything looks old and dirty, and simultaneously new and clean. It's really brilliant.

Tuesday

full

All I eat these days: oatmeal with hemp hearts, flax seeds, berries, steamed milk, and brown sugar.

Sometimes life is so bad it makes no sense, sometimes it's so good it makes no sense. We have a theory that life isn't real. It makes the senseless make sense, because people feel the need to understand everything. Life has been so goddamn good lately. Maybe it's because we're young and naive and living fast. I don't need reasons, I'm just grateful, and hope the good times don't kill me too soon.

Thursday

this is what we got

This is the shit. Wu Tang vs The Beatles featuring She & Him. Pretty much covered all the basics right there. My face is still flushed from the beautiful sun that was today. Life is scary and going fast but is so so good. Can't stop listening to that Jai Paul beat. Fuck Macaulay Culkin we ain;t ever goin' home alone.

Thursday

cloves

I may be partially colour-blind but I know good colours when I see them.
Above are some examples.
Woke up to snow this morning, now relaxing in my big white bed eating some rice pudding I just made.
I forgot to take the cinnamon stick out.
