Tuesday

resurrected

Although this may have been my first Easter ever where I went without a
eggciting egg hunt (wtf mom), it was still pretty nice. It was spent getting drunk off
vanilla vodka soaked bunny gummies, a festive take on jello shooters (see recipe below),
eating endless tacos (which should have ended much earlier than they did),
and making whimsical flower crowns with pretty girls.
And I am also super eggstatic because on Saturday I'm going to my
favourite city ever, and then trying out my hand at Coachella.
So thanks Jesus for the good time.

GIGGLY GUMMIES

1. Go to you local grocery store.
2. Proceed to the bulk aisle.
3. Find the biggest, most tantalizing gummy candies,
grab a bag, and load that mother up.
(Don't forget to write the item number on the twist tie!)
4. Proceed to check out and go home.
5. Once at home, take out a nice big chilled bottle of
vanilla vodka from the freezer.
6. Fill a mason jar with previously purchased gummy candies.
7. Cover with said alcohol and screw the lid on tightly.
8. Place in the fridge behind the milk for a couple of days so
you aren't tempted to eat them all every time you
go to make a sandwich.
9. After a few days when you run out of milk,
take them out and consume by the spoonful and get giggly.

A real fun party treat! Sure to be a hit with all your friends!

Monday

flowers in your mouth

Images courtesy of Kimberly Gordon.
I went to a little Indian restaurant recently to celebrate a close friend's birthday and had rose ice cream for the first time. Before that, my floral palate had only been extended to the likes of violet, jasmin, and my constant obsession, lavender. But I proceeded to fall in love, and have since spent nights dreaming of more flowery indulgence. I just came across this post that Wildfox did about making your own rose ice cream, and my mind was sufficiently blown. Get the recipe here.

autumnal

Have been infatuated with this song and video for weeks.
I leave for New York in six days. Even with the amount that I travel I always think I am immune to packing, and hate doing it early, so it's usually done the day of. But since it seems as though all my friends have left our humble stomping grounds, and life has taken an abrupt halt since this busy whirlwind of a summer, there's not much to do around here. I might actually be a responsible adult and start thinking ahead of time about what to bring. Maybe then I won't end up with 17 dresses and one pair of pants like in San Francisco. It wasn't even dress wearing weather.
P.S. Bonny's dumb and is too busy eating poutine in Montreal to attend to this thing at the moment. Just kidding, she's actually one of the smartest girls I know, she just has a poutine problem.

Saturday

bare feet and summer heat

Today I worked in the Saturday market, I got a sunburn on one shoulder from the sun, my shoes broke (leading me to have dirty feet as shown above) but it was all moments of lovely nostalgia. As a child, running through the market in bare feet, the warm concrete beneath them was a beautiful feeling and so reminiscent. I also spent time with my close friend Seanna who is busy making fruit leather from berries she picked and oil of oregano from her garden, she also picked rosehips and dried them to make rose hip tea, which is full of vitamin c and tastes serene. Life is lovely, going dancing tonight, have a good evening.

Thursday

7 days

Classic sunnies
Handfuls of pretty lingerie
Rachel and I are hitting the road in 7 days,  which means we have to be mentally, physically, and aesthetically prepared for a 4 day event of music, cheap beer, and a shit load of good times. Therefore, when I was shopping today (a rarity living on this small island) I was so pleased to purchase some necessities. Above are some images of the soft, lacy fabrics, and there are many more. Its almost time!

Monday

rambler/gambler

That backpack is the ILLEST. I made strawberry shortcake.
Right now I'm in bed making money. The good life.
